Unoriginal Sin
Finally smacking myself into some sort of state of alertness, I got my ass in second gear and knocked together this feature. When I first saw the comic books for Sin City, I was not particularly interested, I was far more into the over-the-top colour and action of Marvel or the deep, complex artistry of DC. I dismissed Frank Miller's work as to basic and uninteresting, I hadn't read a single one but my mentality went along the lines of: "Black and White? Fuck that." It is strange then that Sin City the movie would prove to be one of my most anticipated films of, like, forever. In my mind, the film lived up to the hype and I fell in love with the style and suave sophistication of the presentation. I quickly went out and brought my first Sin City graphic novel and realised what I had been missing.
This feature is, basically, about my love of the style of Sin City. I feature some photographs edited using photoshop as well as some older drawings I scanned into my computer and edited using paint shop pro, or something. Enjoy.
