Explain yourself - why the hell should I care about this DeadGood Search Engine thingy? So here's the plan - use some free tools to create a customisable search engine tailored towards designers and creative types. I wanted to produce a search that means you can type a term such as 'wave' and have results returned that are relevant to you, as a designer. For example, you could find tutorials on how to create perfect wave effects in photoshop or maybe you'll get a link to some fonts with wavy styles or you could even get hooked up with the coolest new products from the hottest design blogs. That was the plan, anyway. The DeadGood Search Engine has been developed using Google's free-to-use Co-op customisable search engine application. Check out the link to find out exactly how it works. I used some basic keywords to focus results and selected some of my favourite sites to be emphasised. Have a play around with the search engine yourself to see how well it works... For the product to live up to my vision, there is still a lot of grafting to put into action before it gains the Deadlamb seal of approval. To this end, I'm appealing to anybody reading this to submit your own sites with a design/creative edge that can help me refine the results. Please send all submissions to Deadlamb HQ and thank you in advance, stranger! |
